Jesse Wilkins, Political Scientist and Research Associate
Jesse Wilkins earned a B.A. in Social Psychology from Rutgers University and completed a Ph.D. in Political Science from Columbia University in 2008. He has wide-ranging knowledge of the psychology of perception and decision-making, and  a thorough understanding of the interplay between politics, economics, and human behavior. Jesse draws upon his extensive training in the social sciences to provide analysis and consulting on projects with ResearchSight. 

 

Jesse has presented several professional papers at international conferences and served on Columbia University’s Institutional Review Board. In this capacity, he reviewed projects that utilized a broad array of research methods including in-depth interviews, surveys, and experimental designs. Jesse has expertise in qualitative and quantitative research designs as well as the ethical challenges that sometimes arise in research with human subjects .

 

Currently, Jesse’s research is focused primarily on consumer confidence, social contagions, and the effects of government policies on consumer behavior.
